  • ISRG announces Q4 2024 sales jumped 25%



  • Venture capital funding for digital health companies boomed from $14.3B in 2020 to $29.2B in 2021 to $15.7B raised in 2022

  • Digital health companies peaked at 14,000 before the 2023 and 2024 VC divestment

  • Healthcare stocks saw a strong resurgence in equity and debt volumes alongside a slight decline in M&A volume in 2024 especially post-Labor Day

  • There were 18 IPOs across all of life sciences in 2024 (IPO Tracker - Life Sciences Perspectives | Life Sciences Perspectives). Largest:

    • Tempus AI TEM ($410.7M)

    • CG Oncology CGON ($380M)

    • Kyverna Therapeutics KYTX ($319M)

    • Bicara Therapeutics BCAX ($315M)

  • Talkspace announced a roll-out of AI-powered tools to help providers prep for sessions and guide client care between sessions

  • Medicare Advantage insurers Alignment Healthcare and Clover Health both reported increased membership growth by 35% and 27% YOY respectively

  • Quanterix shared details about their proposed acquisition of Akoya Biosciences
